The architecture
The Safdie Architects design joins three hotel towers with a long rooftop structure. The relationship between the towers and SkyPark gives the building its recognizable silhouette.
Inside the property
The hotel forms part of a much larger mixed-use resort. The rooftop combines elevated outdoor spaces with views across the city and the bay. The hotel towers and rooftop are only one part of the development: exhibition areas, shops and cultural venues occupy other parts of the same complex. The rooftop profile does not mean every room has the same outlook or layout.
Location & surroundings
The development sits on Singapore’s Marina Bay waterfront. Its surrounding public spaces link the hotel to a wider district of cultural and commercial buildings.
Details that define it
The wider complex includes exhibition facilities, retail, dining, theatres, the ArtScience Museum and a casino. These are components of an integrated resort rather than separate hotel categories. The casino is inside the integrated resort, separate from the guest-room floors. In architectural terms, this is a mixed-use waterfront development with a hotel component, rather than a stand-alone tower with a nearby casino.
