Hotels with casinos

Eight hotels with casinos inside their resort complexes, compared through their rooms, architecture, setting and wider facilities. From city towers to an island resort, each profile explains how the hotel and the casino relate to one another.

UNDERSTANDING THE CATEGORY

One label.
Very different hotels.

A hotel with a casino can be a waterfront landmark, an all-suite tower, a city hotel or part of an island resort. The presence of a casino tells you relatively little about the accommodation itself. Room formats, public spaces and the surrounding district often explain much more about the character of the property.

This collection includes hotels whose own resort complex contains a casino. It distinguishes a casino within the named hotel resort from one in a larger connected development. A casino elsewhere in the neighbourhood is not enough for inclusion.

The profiles focus on the hotel: its architecture, accommodation, pools, dining, cultural spaces and location. Numbers are reading order, not scores. Each entry links to published property information so the description can be traced to its source.

Marina Bay Sands

Three towers connected by an elevated SkyPark above Marina Bay.

Design & atmosphere

The Safdie Architects design joins three hotel towers with a long rooftop structure. The relationship between the towers and SkyPark gives the building its recognizable silhouette.

Rooms & accommodation

The hotel forms part of a much larger mixed-use resort. The rooftop combines elevated outdoor spaces with views across the city and the bay. The hotel towers and rooftop are only one part of the development: exhibition areas, shops and cultural venues occupy other parts of the same complex. The rooftop profile does not mean every room has the same outlook or layout.

Setting & facilities

The development sits on Singapore’s Marina Bay waterfront. Its surrounding public spaces link the hotel to a wider district of cultural and commercial buildings.

How the casino fits into the property

The wider complex includes exhibition facilities, retail, dining, theatres, the ArtScience Museum and a casino. These are components of an integrated resort rather than separate hotel categories. The casino is inside the integrated resort, separate from the guest-room floors. In architectural terms, this is a mixed-use waterfront development with a hotel component, rather than a stand-alone tower with a nearby casino.

Cotai / Macao

Wynn Palace

A Cotai resort organized around water, floral installations and art.

Design & atmosphere

The hotel’s identity extends beyond its tower into the Performance Lake and the SkyCab. These features create a distinctive approach to a large resort complex.

Rooms & accommodation

The 28-storey hotel includes rooms, suites and villas. Restaurants, retail, a spa and a pool form part of the broader property. The accommodation range extends from conventional hotel rooms to larger suites and villas, so the property offers several spatial formats within one resort. The tower is one part of an extensive indoor and outdoor complex.

Setting & facilities

Wynn Palace is in Cotai, Macao. Its setting is a district of large integrated resorts rather than a historic city-center streetscape. The SkyCab and Performance Lake shape the approach to the property. Together with the floral installations, they make the arrival sequence an important part of the hotel’s design story.

How the casino fits into the property

Floral sculptures and art displays appear throughout the resort. The complex also contains a casino; this profile focuses on the hotel, its setting and its design.

  • Conservatory & Botanical Gardens
  • Pool and cabana area
Las Vegas / United States

Bellagio

A Las Vegas Strip resort where a lake, botanical displays and a broad hotel offering sit within the same complex as an indoor casino.

Design & atmosphere

Bellagio uses the imagery of an Italian lakeside resort at the scale of the Las Vegas Strip. The fountains and the Conservatory & Botanical Gardens give the property two distinct public focal points: one outside on the boulevard, the other beside the hotel lobby.

Rooms & accommodation

The accommodation includes rooms and suites rather than an exclusively suite-based inventory. Fountain-view categories are differentiated from other room types; the view is a specific room characteristic, not a feature shared by every room.

Setting & facilities

The property is on the Las Vegas Strip. Within the resort, the pool and cabana area, restaurants and the Conservatory create different environments beyond the main indoor circulation spaces.

How the casino fits into the property

The casino is inside the Bellagio resort itself. The official property map places it alongside the hotel’s other public facilities, rather than at an unrelated venue nearby.

  • Connected Venetian resort
  • Indoor dining and retail
Las Vegas / United States

The Palazzo

The Palazzo combines suite accommodation with an indoor casino and the shared facilities of The Venetian Resort Las Vegas.

Design & atmosphere

The Palazzo is one tower within The Venetian Resort, not a completely independent resort detached from its neighbour. Its interiors use a more restrained interpretation of Italian-inspired luxury than the Venetian side, making the connection between the two useful context.

Rooms & accommodation

Accommodation is organized around suites, with living space forming part of the hotel’s identity. Suite layouts and categories vary; the hotel’s emphasis on space should not be read as a promise of the same arrangement in every category.

Setting & facilities

The property is on the Las Vegas Strip. Internal resort routes connect the Palazzo side with dining areas and the wider Venetian complex, as shown on the official resort map.

How the casino fits into the property

The Palazzo has its own named casino within the connected resort. Bar Luca is described by the operator as being in the Palazzo Casino, establishing a clear on-site relationship.

  • Cotai resort setting
Cotai / Macao

The Venetian Macao

An all-suite Cotai hotel that brings accommodation, an indoor casino, shops and Venetian-inspired public spaces into one resort.

Design & atmosphere

The Venetian Macao makes its theme part of the circulation space. Reconstructed canals and bridges turn the shopping areas into an interior streetscape, rather than leaving the architectural references only on the hotel exterior.

Rooms & accommodation

The operator describes a property of approximately 3,000 suites, each over 70 square metres. This all-suite format is one of its clearest differences from hotels that combine standard bedrooms with a smaller collection of suites.

Setting & facilities

The hotel is in Cotai, where large resort complexes define the setting. Its scale and indoor shopping environment make it quite different from a small hotel embedded in Macao’s historic streets.

How the casino fits into the property

The casino belongs to The Venetian Macao resort. Accommodation, shopping and entertainment are parts of the same destination, although individual facilities occupy different areas within the complex.

Crown Towers Melbourne

A city hotel within the Crown Melbourne complex, with rooms, suites and indoor leisure facilities beside the wider resort’s casino.

Design & atmosphere

Crown Towers is best understood as the accommodation tower of a larger urban complex. The distinction matters: the tower carries the hotel identity, while a much broader network of dining, entertainment and casino spaces belongs to Crown Melbourne.

Rooms & accommodation

The hotel includes rooms and suites with city views. The operator lists both conventional room categories and larger suites; its two-bedroom Tower Suite includes separate living and dining areas. Accommodation type therefore changes the interior experience considerably.

Setting & facilities

The Crown complex sits by the Yarra River in Melbourne. The riverfront setting places the hotel in a city context rather than on a resort island or an isolated leisure estate.

How the casino fits into the property

An indoor pool, fitness facilities and Crown Spa form part of the hotel offering. The casino is within the connected Crown Melbourne complex, not inside the guest-room tower itself.

  • Aquaventure nearby within resort
  • Marine exhibits and beaches
Paradise Island / The Bahamas

The Royal at Atlantis

The Royal places hotel rooms and suites beside the Atlantis Casino, marine exhibits and Aquaventure within the Atlantis resort.

Design & atmosphere

The Royal is a hotel within Atlantis Paradise Island, rather than a name for the entire development. Its recognizable towers are a visual anchor for a resort whose identity also comes from pools, marine habitats and extensive outdoor water attractions.

Rooms & accommodation

The accommodation includes guest rooms and suites. Larger suite categories introduce separate living arrangements and different views; the property is not an all-suite hotel. Its position gives it a close relationship to several of Atlantis’s central attractions.

Setting & facilities

The resort is on Paradise Island in The Bahamas. The Royal’s surroundings include beaches and outdoor water-focused facilities, creating a different setting from the dense streets and indoor malls of an urban integrated resort.

How the casino fits into the property

The Atlantis Casino is part of the same resort and adjacent to The Royal’s central facilities. Aquaventure and The Dig are separate attractions within this wider property, not features inside individual hotel rooms.

Parañaque / Philippines

Okada Manila

A Metro Manila integrated resort combining hotel accommodation, an on-site casino, a fountain attraction and extensive dining facilities.

Design & atmosphere

Okada Manila organizes its identity around several large public attractions rather than a single hotel lobby. The Fountain and The Garden provide outdoor counterparts to the resort’s indoor spaces, while the Promenade groups shopping and dining within the development.

Rooms & accommodation

The accommodation range extends from Deluxe rooms to named suites and villas. These are distinct categories, so the resort cannot be described simply as either a conventional room hotel or an all-suite property.

Setting & facilities

The property is in Parañaque, within Metro Manila. Its resort-scale facilities make it a self-contained urban destination rather than a small hotel attached to a neighbourhood restaurant or shopping street.

How the casino fits into the property

The casino is on site within Okada Manila. Other listed facilities include the Retreat Spa, fitness areas, pools and multiple dining venues. The mix of accommodation and non-room facilities is the key to understanding the property.

READING THE DETAILS

What makes these hotels different?

A room is not always a suite.

The Palazzo and The Venetian Macao use an all-suite accommodation format. Bellagio and The Royal offer rooms alongside suites, while Wynn Palace and Okada Manila also include villas. These differences describe the range of accommodation, not a universal ranking of quality.

The setting changes the story.

Crown Towers is an urban riverfront hotel. The Royal sits within an island resort with beaches and water attractions. Marina Bay Sands is part of a waterfront city district, while the Cotai properties belong to a landscape of large resort complexes.

Look beyond the tower.

At an integrated resort, the hotel is only one component. Restaurants, shops, pools, exhibition areas or attractions may sit in other parts of the development. “On site” means within the same resort, not necessarily on the same floor or in the guest-room building.

Facilities need context.

A listed pool, spa, attraction or restaurant is part of the property description. Its presence does not mean every room category includes identical access. This journal describes the physical hotel and its setting; it does not list packages or live availability.

COMMON QUESTIONS

A few useful distinctions.

Do all eight hotels have a casino within their resort?

Yes. Each is part of a resort that contains a casino. The comparison table distinguishes the named hotel resort from a larger connected complex, as at Crown Melbourne and Atlantis.

Are these hotels ranked from best to worst?

No. The sequence is editorial reading order. The collection compares characteristics without assigning guest-review scores or claiming a universal best hotel.

Why include several hotels from the same destination?

Properties in the same city can use very different accommodation formats and architectural ideas. The Palazzo’s suite-based tower and Bellagio’s lake-and-garden identity illustrate how a shared location does not create an identical hotel.

Where do the descriptions come from?

They are summaries of official hotel, resort and architect information, with source links under each entry. This is desk research rather than a claim of personal inspection. Details reflect the stated review date and can change.
